A player with more playing experience and with firmer grasp on poker strategy may also consider as a good player. Someone who is questioning calls and generally failing to recognize the mistakes is obviously a person who has a big problem and insecurity.
A player can never be a really good poker player if he already think he is a good player. Some are insulted by the truth. Some are hesitant to question his ability or ask what he can do to improve his game. A player can never improve without critical self-analysis and his progress will be slow.
It is hard to tell if a person is a great poker player. A player who played poker with many years and competed with skilled players can see great progress with their game but others have stagnated. The poker players who have improved are those actively sought to improve their poker game.
A player with uncontrollable ego can damage poker game. In order to compete with the opponents, a player must work very hard, play lots of hours, and study weaknesses. A good player is someone who finds time studying the game and not fooling around pretending he is the best player in the world.
